It's another lull cycle

With my new school term starting and some other event requiring my painting space, it's not likely I can spend any time on the hobby in the next year.

Sadly, I'll have to hang up my painting brush for the time being.

First 3 maneaters complete

Finally done with the first 3 maneaters. Considering how little space there was on the scenic base to attach the mini, managed to glue in a way to allow them to rank up.

First three maneaters almost done

Had some good progress on the Titanforge maneaters.

Quite happy with the light green color on the pants of the "musician". You can see he is armed with booze and has a medic armband on him, so the rest will know where he is when they need encouragement.

Also quite pleased with how the bandana guy turned out. Wanted them to look real "piratey" so that means plenty of out of sorts colors in clothing.

Put some good ole dip on them last night. Just have to finish the bases and stick them on. Then they'll be good to go

Maneater Updates

Managed to get some work done on those maneaters. Finished the base coat on my captain.

Originally did not want to dip but I can't bring myself to do the shades manually.. So. Dip them will be.

Got the color on the bases as well and had my first attempt at the water and waves. Looks pretty good if I may say so myself.

Maneater replacements

Picked up 6 of these guys from Titanforge during ETC to be meant as replacement for my metal maneaters.

Already started on the base and working on the skin for three of them. Working with resin is fantastic as I could reposition the hands using hot water.

My favorite would be the guy holding the wine bottle as my captain and the dude with more booze on his belt as my musician.

Team Singapore Hurrah!

Finally back home after the grueling ETC tourney in Gorzow.

It was a much better experience than I expected it to be, best part being meeting players from all over the world and just hanging out and talking to them.

Also had a blast talking to the guys at Titanforge and was honored to meet the sculptor himself. Also bought some minis from their blood sail island set as replacements for my metal maneaters which I now deem too fragile.

It has been a wonderful experience and would go again next year, given the opportunity.

Ghouls and rat swarm done up.

Finally managed to base and Matt coat the ghouls over the public holiday. Amazingly, didn't have as much problem with the spray as previous times.

Gonna show a picture of pre and post dip of the same model as well.

Overall, quite satisfied with the 40 of them. Considering I only spent about two weeks, I would say this is acceptable table-top standard. Put in more effort as well since these were not my minis.

Update on ghouls

Finally got the dip on the 40 ghouls. Not bad speed and manage to basecoat and dip a unit of 40 within 2 weeks.

Just need another night to base and I'll be done.

Did a test model for my prospective LM as well... Turns out yellow and purple are not good friends.

Orange ghouls?

Some GW ghouls I am working on for a team mate. He wanted it to be themey, since his CH are also orange.

Completed July painting pledge for Ogrestronghold

Looking back at my pledge made at the start of July on the Ogre Stronghold forum, I amaze myself on how much ground I covered this month.

60 gnoblars, 4 MFC and basing 8 IGs. Now, my ETC army is complete and ready for spilling blood at ETC.

Really happy that I found miniNatur. The clumps of grass really adds a lot of detail to the base and ups the beauty factor of the overall model.

Torn between VC, LM and Tomb Kings now... I am leaning towards finishing my Tomb King army so that I can have two fully painted armies I can play with.

Finally finished my ETC army

After 3 months of hard work, I have finally finished my OK army which I will be bringing to ETC in August.

The last piece of the puzzle are these 4 clowns. Love the work on these and very pleased. Pleased that I also managed to master the spray-on technique for Matt coating to prevent dusting/frosting.

Updates for The week...

Had a relatively slow week. Painted up two of my ogre MFC riders. While painting, had a red gore paint explosion and spent the afternoon painting dice pips o the GW dice instead.

Also came into possession of a second hand stone horn kit an ended up assembling that on Sunday. Did a rock slate custom base for him since that base is huge.

Getting distracted.

More gnoblars!!

Got some paint unto the metals and some of the other details. Once I managed to paint the caps, it'll be dip them time!

While waiting on dip time, it'll be basing for the previous 20.
