First Army List - TK 2500

Must have heard me talk lots about modelling but never about my games...

Coz i never played one.  Not sure why... never had time... wanted to complete all my models... scared of losing... anti-social... i have now made the first step and gave myself a 2 week dateline to finish enough models to at least field my very first 2500 point TK Army.

Hope this list brings me victory!! I like my chariot train and seems that HW/S skeletons are good enough as a tar-pit to hold middle field. 

2nd Foray into Fail Cast - Apophas

Ok... first one on the Necrotect wasn't too good... i decided to try a second one.

What i do realise at this moment... is that the entire sprue seems a little fuzzy and has quite a bit of flesh on it... maybe its coz of the exccessive detail on the mini itself that they pumped extra resin to make sure it overflows...

Ok off the sprue and to attach the arms... realise the dagger arm socket is kinda too small for the ball and had to but it down to fit.

Had to cut some bits off the slotta to fit the base as well.

Overall, he was fun to put together and took me no more than 5 mins.  I am guessing he'll take me less than 5 minutes to paint as well... since he is all bug... just a bit of the gold & blue & red on armor. 

First Foray into Fail Cast

ok... since i needed to bust out my necrotect to be ready for my 2.5k army list... i proceeded to foray into my first Fail Cast model...

Hi Daddy!! I am a fail cast baby!

So.... quite disappointing on first one.  3 bubbles... and the feet was broken as well.  Had to glue it back using super glue... since my hands were big and clumsy... was pretty afraid of breaking the damn thing since it looks so brittle.. but after i assemble it, still looks good.  Next step was to paint it, which will be easy after i completed the damn Necro and Warsphinx. 

Just bought the liquid putty from Vallejo yesterday anyway... lets see how good that stuff is for filling crap gaps.

I AM BACK!!!!

Finally finished up my Necrosphinx and put him one one of those pre-made concrete slabs.  Proud of him cause i spent countless hours painting those freaking triangles.  1 thing is that it made my hand real steady and i can pretty paint w/o my hand trembling now.

Too long Too long

Been a while since i last updated this blog... i blame it on LOTRO as well as my impending wedding... luckily... the interest with LOTRO fizzled out and 8th Edition OK book ignited my interest once more... i am still determined to finish my TK army before going to my OK army.

Managed to finish painting...2 out of 10 chariots... warsphinxes tomb guards and stalkers await!!!

First Sculpting project

Wooot... faced with desperation to make use of the entire Sepulcher Stalker's kit, i undertook the project to kitbash my own necropolis knights after making stalkers out of my first kit.

Bought 3 Tyranid Ravener tails from ebay and this is the result.

I am patting myself on the back... at least managed to make a comfortable joint between the ravener torso and the cobra hood.  but working with greenstuff is tough work... have to be real careful not to "anyhow press" or it'll leave finger prints.

Exams over... TK Assembly Line starts!!!

 My Assembly line for my TK army has started... assembly almost done... but painting progress still slow...

It's getting busy.. just got my items from a fella i bought off Bartertown...

There was also a skink champion that I didn't picture.  My lizardmen army collection is almost complete.  Just need a couple of salamanders and razordons and i should be good to go.

Also, the 20 tomb guards i bought from Ben Johnson of Bad Dice podcast arrived a couple of days ago.

found a box of old brit archers i got from the starter paint kit when i first started the hobby... seemed that i wanted to go Brittonians as i had a bucketload of archers and 1 knight and 1 musician.

Collector's Guide + OOP Giant

Wooot... surprise day again!!

More stuff came in last night.  Received my Lizardmen's Collector Guide which i bought from ebay... as well as in OOP giant which i paid 25 pounds for from Andy of www.warhammer.org.uk.  A bit exp but it's a nice model overall...

Sigh... still no news about my missing chameleon skinks and varghulf.... he said it was "in there" when he packed it.  So... where did it fly to... the packing was complete/sealed when i got it so it is unlikely someone from either of the post office stole it... we'll see... till now, there is no reply.

3 Chameleon Skinks + Skink Priest

Wait a min.... WTH IS THIS??!?@? I didn't order this...

So I am short of 1 chameleon skink and also... where the hell is my Varghulf!?@?? it's not in the box as well.. i immediately wrote to them... I am not sure how this is going to be settled... he better make good what he left out in my order.. 

I also recently made a couple of purchases on www.warhammer.org.uk for a old ed giant... should be reaching here soon.. i am starting to like website like Bartertown, Warseer and Warhammer.org.uk.  I have found much better deals there than in Ebay.

More lizards in a box... woohooo

My stuff that i ordered from Wayland came in over the weekend... the box was so big that i faster empty it and throw the box away so no one else will know i ordered so much stuff... hahaha

Actually the skink command blister quite waste money... does not match the new skinks at all... sigh... no matter.. i shall use them all the same.

I got to action and started counting up the number of new saurus i had... the count came up to a grand total of 72... and that's only for spear and shield saurus... i still got 1 full Ikea box of HW & shield saurus... 2 stegs... SHHIIIIT LOAD OF previous ed skinks... 4 kroxs.. salamanders... chamelion skinks, terradons and slaan coming in from Chaos Orc...
